1. Clinical Summary
Series Phase Coverage Inspiration Full inspiration Thoracic inlet → Carina+10cm Mid-Expiration Forced mid-expiration Thoracic inlet → Carina+10cm - Tracheobronchomalacia
- Expiratory central airway collapse
- EDAC
-
2. Patient Prep
- Position: Supine with arms raised
- NPO Status: N/A
- Pre-Medication:
- None required
-
3. IV Contrast & Injection
No Intravenous Contrast
This protocol does not require IV contrast administration.
-
4. Special Notes
- TWO acquisitions: 1) INSPIRATION carina to carina+10cm 2) MID-EXPIRATION same level. Airway reconstructions required
- No IV. Coach dynamic breathing. May need forced expiration
Safety First
- Renal Function: N/A
- Allergy: N/A
- Measure tracheal collapse percentage. >50% collapse suggests tracheomalacia. Assess bronchi
- Coach forced expiration. Exact same level both phases
