  • 1. Clinical Summary

    Series Phase Coverage
CT Myelogram Non-contrast Region of interest to Extended coverage
    • Post-myelogram CT
    • Intrathecal contrast follow-up
    • Spinal stenosis
    • Nerve root compression
  • 2. Patient Prep

    • Position: Supine. Post-lumbar puncture
    • NPO Status: N/A
    • Pre-Medication:
      • Intrathecal contrast already given
  • 3. IV Contrast & Injection

    Parameter Value
    Agent Omnipaque 240 intrathecal
    Volume 10-15 mL IT
    Flow Rate N/A

Use full dose if GFR > 30

    If GFR < 30

    Max Contrast = \(2*\left[\frac{\text{Patient Weight}}{75 \text{ kg}} * \text{eGFR}\right]\)

  • 4. Special Notes

    • Post-LP CT. Usually lumbar region. Thin slices. Axial and sagittal reformats. Assess nerve root sleeves and thecal sac
    • Additional Recons: Oblique reformats for nerve roots. Document stenosis level and severity
    • Patient already had LP with IT contrast. Position comfortably

    Safety First
